Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information OffroadGearPro collects when you browse or buy from this site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

1. Information You Give Us

• Order information — name, shipping and billing address, email, and phone number when you place an order.
• Account information — email address and password credentials if you create an account, plus any name you add to your profile.
• Payment information — card details are entered directly into our payment processor and are described in section 3.
• Correspondence — the content of messages you send us, including fitment questions and the vehicle details you share so we can answer them.
• Marketing preferences — your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and our servers log technical information: IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, and the pages you request with timestamps. This is standard server logging used to operate the site, diagnose errors, and detect abuse.

We also store some information in your own browser rather than on our servers — your cart contents, wishlist, and recently viewed products live in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device, and clearing your browser storage deletes it.

3. Payment Information

We do not collect, process, or store full payment card numbers. Checkout is handled by our commerce and payments provider, and card details are entered into a payment form served directly by that provider. Those details go to the processor, not to us.

What we receive back is limited to what we need to fulfill and support the order: confirmation that payment succeeded, the card brand and last four digits, and the billing address. Our payment processor maintains PCI DSS compliance for card handling.

4. Why We Use Your Information

• To process, fulfill, ship, and support your orders
• To communicate with you about an order, a return, or a question you asked us
• To create and secure your account and authenticate your logins
• To send marketing email, only if you opted in, and only until you opt out
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and abuse
• To meet legal, tax, accounting, and product-safety recordkeeping obligations
• To operate, debug, and improve the site based on aggregate error and traffic patterns

For customers in the EEA and UK, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (processing your order), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the site), consent (marketing email), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

5. Who We Share It With

We share personal information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf, and only what each one needs to do its job. They are contractually restricted from using your information for their own purposes.

• Commerce and payment processing — to create carts and orders, take payment, and calculate shipping and tax
• Authentication — to create accounts and verify logins. If you have an account, a corresponding customer record is created with our commerce provider so your order history works.
• Hosting and infrastructure — to serve the site and store server logs
• Shipping carriers — your name, address, and phone number so they can deliver your order and schedule freight
• Email delivery — to send order confirmations, shipping notices, and newsletters

We may also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process; to enforce our Terms of Service; to protect the rights or safety of any person; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.

6. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We do not currently run third-party advertising networks, ad pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies on this site. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and provide any opt-out required by law before the change takes effect.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage mechanisms that are necessary for the site to function:

• Authentication cookies — set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in and to protect against request forgery
• Checkout cookies — set during checkout to associate your session with your cart and order
• Local storage — your cart, wishlist, and recently viewed items, stored in your browser

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking authentication and checkout cookies will prevent you from signing in or completing an order.

8. How Long We Keep It

• Order records — retained for at least seven years to satisfy US tax, accounting, and product-liability recordkeeping requirements
• Account information — retained while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request except where we must keep order records
• Server logs — retained for a limited period for security and debugging, then discarded
• Marketing lists — until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again

9. Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit with TLS. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by us in readable form. Card numbers never reach our servers. We limit administrative access to order data to people who need it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required regulator as the law requires.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights. We honor these requests regardless of your state of residence, to the extent we can do so consistent with our legal obligations.

• Access — a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — fix inaccurate information
• Deletion — delete your information, except records we must retain
• Portability — receive your information in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe at any time
• Non-discrimination — we will not deny service or change prices because you exercised a privacy right

California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you have the rights above, plus the right to know the categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to — all described in sections 1 through 5. As stated in section 6, we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

EEA and UK residents. You additionally have the right to object to or restrict processing, the right to withdraw consent at any time, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Where we transfer information to the United States, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission standard contractual clauses.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@offroadgearpro.com. We will verify your request against information already in our records and respond within 45 days, or within the shorter period your local law requires. We may extend that once where permitted, and we will tell you if we do.

11. Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.

12. International Visitors

We operate in the United States, and our service providers are located in the United States and elsewhere. If you use the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will revise the “last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide additional notice — by email or a notice on the site — before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
